Supporting American-Made Products

To buy American made products is a choice that you can make with your money. You choose to support an American company instead of the foreign competition, and making this choice makes a difference. Business owners, when they notice you buying more American products, will go and order more of those next time. Your choice in American goods will then be expanded, and American companies will be working hard to manufacture more things. You can see why this creates more American jobs and a healthier economy.

You can end up helping the American economy by spending money that you were already going to spend anyway. The only difference is not saving a couple dollars on the China version of the product. Don't forget the long term benefits of making the right choice. A home full of American made goods and furnishings is something you can work towards and be proud of.



"Made in America" is becoming a big catch phrase. It is no longer the case that people are buying trendy European designer items to show off to their friends. Today's status symbol is "Made in the USA." Today's way to impress your friends is to show them that you're a caring part of this great nation. We all help the US and we help ourselves, too.

There are some who recommend punitive measures on our national imports to increase our competitive edge. Since we're also trying to export our products abroad, that's a tricky position to approach. We can harnass the power of supply and demand to give ourselves the edge, instead. We simply choose not to buy the foreign made goods when we can choose American instead. It's just that simple.

To support American made products is to support the fair standards and safety measures of our nation. We want to spread these ideas, and we undercut that message when we purchase cheap foreign goods that were made without the benefit of these standards. Let's make sure our support is in line with our American values and ideals. Others will follow suit.

Don't forget, when you're shopping, to keep the principle "Spend on America" in mind. It's important that you remember to compare the labels on the shelf. Look for the "Made in the USA," and if you're having trouble finding it in your local stores, talk to the owners. Tell them how important it is to you to be able to choose American made products.
