When looking through magazines and watching shows on TV, we always see these models, or actors and actresses who have beautiful bodies, you know, the tight stomach, chiselled abs, toned muscles, and all that. And we often find ourselves hoping that we had bodies like theirs too.

But for a woman who has to juggle a demanding work schedule, school, or the responsibility of looking after her family, keeping a healthy and fit physique sometimes takes the backseat in her sequence of priorities. Especially since unlike those actresses and actors on TV, most women don't have an army of dieticians and personal trainers to tend to their every whim.

And although this really is the case for a lot of women out in the world these days, one must not disregard the importance of having a healthy body, because not only does it keep us away from illness, it also increases the overall quality of life.

So regardless of how hectic your schedule can get, you owe it to yourself to set aside a couple of hours a week to attend to your body. Fitness for women does not need to be a complex and time consuming activity, a simple round of simple stretching exercises and a light cardio program is not going to take more than a few minutes off your daily timetable.

And for the weekends or on your days off from work, you could use the extra hours to visit a fitness gym for a more rigorous workout, this is also an excellent opportunity to obtain tips on proper diet and exercise from gym instructors and your gym buddies.

Now that you have a plan figured out, keep in mind that consistency is an important factor in dealing with fitness for women. Simply put, if you would like good results, you have to be consistent.

Don't let your drive to get in shape die out after some weeks, or when your timetable becomes even more hectic, take conscious steps to make exercise and proper diet an essential part of your every day routine.

The key is to have a simple regimen or system that will be easy to follow, and to find the motivation to stick to the plan.
