Knock, knock, knocking on Obama's door -- The worst of intentions -- For love of country -- Heartache in Hollywood -- Poll of the Day: Obama remains slightly up on Romney nationally --Tweet of Yesterday
1.) Knock, knock, knocking on Obama's door -- Things are moving faster and getting more furious over Operation Fast and Furious. TheDC's Matthew Boyle reports:

"On Monday, protesters are scheduled to gather outside the White House to demand President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder be held accountable for Operation Fast and Furious. According to a release grassroots organizers sent to the press, the protest will start at approximately 10 a.m. outside the White House’s north lawn gates. The protest will last for about two hours. 'We want justice for the victims and families affected by this scandal,' event organizer Oliver Darcy said in the release. 'We are protesting to let Barack Obama and AG Holder know that the truth must prevail. They should fully disclose all documents related to the case in order to bring closure to a dark moment in our country’s history. Anything less is a fraud of justice.'"

But organizers don't expect this to be the Million Man March. They're shooting for more like 30 --- not 30 thousand, just 30.

Our military families deserve healthcare management they can trust. That’s why Washington’s decision to award the TRICARE West Region contract to UnitedHealthcare without examining its past performance raises serious concerns. But until the process is reviewed, TriWest’s mission is clear — deliver exceptional care to America’s military families. Learn more: www.savemymilitaryhealthcare.com.

2.) The worst of intentions  -- Reza Kahili reports for TheDC that Iran may not have the best intentions when it comes to getting along with the West:

"A source who served in Iranian intelligence says the Iranian regime is preparing to down Western airliners in case of an attack on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program ... The source said the regime has taken several measures should war erupt ... "Thousands of cells have been established in collaboration with Hezbollah to conduct terrorist acts against Israel, America and the West. One specific preparation, as discussed by the Guard commanders, is to target America’s civilian airliners in order to cause terror in the West."
3.) For love of country -- TheDC's Ginni Thomas talked to the chairman of Honor Flight Network, Jim McLaughlin, about the good he is doing for America's World War II vets:

"McLaughlin’s privately funded organization helps World War II veterans come to the nation’s capital to see the war memorial built in their honor. There, the quiet and humble warriors remember the history they lived through, with honor and emotion ... McLaughlin recently spoke with The Daily Caller’s Ginni Thomas about the importance of the program, some special moments he has experienced at the memorial, how ordinary citizens can help out and much more."
4.) Heartache in Hollywood -- Every fairytale must come to an end. Also, whatever is the opposite of a fairytale, every one of those must eventually come to an end too. Gage Smith reports for TheDC:

"Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing after 5 years of marriage, People reports. The action star and 'Dawson’s Creek' actress married in 2006 at an Italian castle, after making waves with their whirlwind courtship and Cruise’s infamous couch-jumping on “Oprah.” Many media outlets speculated about the legitimacy of their relationship, as well as Cruise’s Scientology views."

No one saw that coming. And by no one, TheDC Morning may or may not mean everyone.
5.) Poll of the Day: Obama remains slightly up on Romney nationally -- RealClearPolitics polling average of general election: President Obama 47.5%, Mitt Romney 43.9%.
6.) Tweet of Yesterday -- Jeffrey Ross: Happy #Canada Day! -or as we call it in America... "What?".

A Message from www.SaveMyMilitaryHealthcare.com

Our military families deserve healthcare management they can trust. That’s why Washington’s decision to award a contract for the TRICARE West Region to UnitedHealthcare without examining its past performance and integrity raises serious concerns.

Despite the fact that TriWest submitted a lower bid to the Department of Defense than UnitedHealthcare, and despite the fact that UnitedHealthcare companies have paid $2 billion in fines, penalties and legal settlements, the DoD has decided that nearly 3 million active duty military, retirees and their families will soon be forced to change to UnitedHealthcare. We’ve asked for a review of the process to make sure military families don’t lose the health care they have come to trust.

Until the process is reviewed, TriWest’s mission to serve is clear — deliver exceptional care to America’s military families. Learn more about our record and how it measures up against UnitedHealthcare’s by visiting our website: www.savemymilitaryhealthcare.com.

Flight Risk -- Source: Iran preparing to down American passenger planes

Protesters calling for Fast and Furious justice to converge on White House -- The protest comes on the heels of Holder being held in criminal and civil contempt of Congress on Thursday

WH official dodges questions on Obama involvement in Fast and Furious cover-up -- White House chief of staff Jack Lew on Sunday would neither confirm nor deny whether President Barack Obama himself is involved

Yates Walker: A tea party battle cry -- If Obamacare is implemented in a second Obama administration, America will never recover.

Ford O'Connell: Chief Justice Roberts didn't completely screw the right -- It could have been much worse.

Sam Bain: President Obama's crowning achievement -- the largest tax increase in US history  -- He knew he couldn't pass Obamacare if the mandate was understood to be a tax, so he told us it wasn't one.

John Yoo: A loss for constitutionalists -- The supposed silver linings in the Obamacare ruling are largely symbolic, though the decision does contain a valuable lesson for conservatives.

Thomas P. Kilgannon: Supreme Court issues another anti-veteran decision -- In United States v. Alvarez, decided on Thursday, the Supreme Court struck down the Stolen Valor Act.
