A Prophetic Interpretation of the news

Tropical Storm Isaac cutting path eerily similar to Hurricane Katrina - [Foxnews.com] Tropical Storm Isaac is gaining strength and cutting a path through the Gulf of Mexico that's eerily similar to the catastrophic Hurricane Katrina, which devastated New Orleans and the region nearly seven years ago to the day. Tuesday would be one day shy of seven years after Katrina struck catastrophically in 2005, although Katrina was a much stronger Category 5 storm with winds in excess of 157 miles per hour. Isaac is expected to have top winds of around 90 mph when it hits land. You may have noticed the descriptive line of my Patriot News Digest at the top of this page is "A prophetic interpretation of the news" and if you received my Good News Digest posted on 8/24 you would have read these words about the rebuilding of the Twin Trade Towers from Isaiah 9:10 - "The bricks have fallen down but we will rebuild with hewn stone; (Instead of common mud bricks) the sycamores have been cut down but we will replace them with cedars". (Sycamores, another name for fig trees, were very common but cedars were less plentiful and more expensive) This was an unrepentant and arrogant statement as Isa. 9:9 points out "All the people will know it . . . . . who say with pride and arrogance of heart". My question: will this storm make landfall Wed, exactly seven years (A prophetic number) from 8/15/2005?

GOP convention kicks off, briefly, as officials wait out storm - [Foxnews.com] The opening of the Republican National Convention lasted but a few seconds Monday, as party chairman Reince Priebus gaveled in the ceremonies to a small roar of applause from the crowd of several dozen delegates. He then promptly declared the session in recess, ending the day's festivities. Weather permitting, bona-fide convention festivities will start Tuesday afternoon, with a full line-up of top-shelf speakers on the docket. But the fleeting kickoff Monday was just the latest sign of how the storm, as it heads toward the Gulf Coast roughly timed with the seven-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, threatens to overshadow the party's efforts to rally the base around Mitt Romney. The Obama camp will try to tie Bush's bad press over Katrina to Romney to overshadow the good press of the convention. This is the same tactic they used over the Akin rape remarks. Their plan is to paint Romney as extreme on abortion and uncaring about little people such as Hurricane victims. In case you thought my statement last week over Todd Akin's comments was extreme when I said "aborting a live human being is murder no matter how the conception took place" ponder this: there is an inspiring TV minister, James Robison, who champions drilling new water wells in third world countries, who was conceived when a man raped his mother. As Barry Goldwater said in 1964 "Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice" so I say "extremism in the saving of an unborn child is no vice". In fact, Deuteronomy 30:19 says "This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live"
