President Barack Obama launched the hashtag #my2k on Wednesday to organize pressure on Congress to immediately pass an extension of the Bush tax cuts for the middle class, but a conservative group quickly mobilized to sabotage the president's efforts.
The Heritage Foundation purchased the promoted tweet for anyone searching the hashtag, which quickly became the top-trending topic on Twitter after Obama's remarks.
