A note from Jim DeMint

The Heritage Foundation

Dear Michael,

As an informed conservative, you've no doubt heard the exciting news that after a nationwide search, The Heritage Foundation's Board of Trustees has elected Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina to take over as President of The Heritage Foundation when I retire in April.

Although Jim will be taking the reins at Heritage at a time when conservatives are facing significant challenges, I can't think of a more qualified or more principled conservative for the job.

And I know he's up for the challenge. Just read the e-mail below that he sent me yesterday. Jim is energized, focused and ready to lead Heritage and reignite the conservative movement.

Find out what Heritage has in store for the coming year and how you can be a part of this exciting time.

Thanks for all you do for our movement.

Sincerely,

Ed Feulner

Edwin J. Feulner, Ph.D.

Ed--

I can’t begin to express how excited I am to take the helm at The Heritage Foundation in April.

As you know, many of the policies that I developed while in Congress--from Social Security reform to health care reform--were guided by Heritage's policy experts. The American people are desperate for principled leadership, and Heritage provides that leadership.

I firmly believe that a common-sense philosophy of government combined with Heritage's innovative policy solutions can lead the conservative movement to a brighter future.

Thank you for your leadership over the past three decades. Now, let's get to work and return America back to her foundational principles!

-Jim
