A personal message from Heritage President Ed Feulner

Dear Michael, For three decades, I've considered it a great honor to serve at the helm of The Heritage Foundation. During that time, elections have been won and lost, party leaders have risen and fallen, but through it all, Heritage has never wavered from our mission -- to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense. Despite the recent election results, I've never felt more optimism about the future of Heritage and the conservative movement overall. This April, I will pass the torch of Heritage leadership to Senator Jim DeMint, who will not only preserve our mission but also lead Heritage to greater achievements as America's premiere conservative institution. Jim is a principled leader with stellar conservative credentials. Heritage will continue to uphold the same high standards and conservative principles that we have since our founding in 1973, and this change in leadership presents an opportune time for you to join us in this critical mission. I want Jim to be equipped to come out swinging on day one of his tenure. But we need the help of every conservative to make this happen. Will you stand with us?
