Life more abundantly    Dear  Mike       Good News Digest   Prophetic Insights to Daily Living Edition #85 - December 5, 2012  The Power of the tongue - Proverbs 18:21    Nowadays everyone, especially young people, is constantly on the cell phone, smart phone, or whatever social networking system they choose in order to communicate. I use the word "communicate" advisedly because saying or texting words does not necessarily mean that one is communicating. Nevertheless, words are flying back and forth at an ever increasing rate but my question is this: is there any power in those words? Unless words have power, they are idle words according to God. Deut 32:47.   Here are a few things that God says about words. Proverbs 18:21 -The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Genesis 1:3 - And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. Kenneth Copeland once said "The universe is a word created and a word governed system".
