Friend,
Do you care about America being different from other nations? An extended family member asked me recently, "Is global governance something we should avoid?"
I had that question in mind when I interviewed Dr. Sebastian Gorka, a national security expert whose parents escaped communism in Hungary and who trains our young soldiers in counterterrorism. Each of Dr. Gorka's answers,
including this one, cuts through the fog of disinformation, political correctness and propaganda so prevalent in American politics and culture right now.
Take the time to
listen to the interview and send it on to your friends. Is America worth fighting for, or shall we give up? Tell me what you think!
Congratulations to
Sen. Jim DeMint, the South Carolinian who just announced he will be taking over the Heritage Foundation in January!
Next week: Rep. Sue Myrick, North Carolina Republican
Cheers,
Ginni
P.S. Washington is downright dysfunctional now. Congress has stopped legislating on big issues. Amendments are so passé! Our representatives are not able to do their job when these megabills are ironed out by a tiny number of people in a few White House negotiations. Remember subcommittee hearings, amendments, full committee hearings and amendments, House and Senate floor and amendments? Major issues used to take days and weeks on the House or Senate floor following a thorough vetting in one or more committees. Can't we get back to empowering our congressional representatives with regular order, the way civic education taught us about how a bill became a law or … is President Obama trying to make Congress irrelevant?
P.P.S. For those of you watching the global warming debate, you will remember
my interview with Lord Monckton. Now, please check out his latest affront to the recent UN climate conference in Qatar
