As recapped in a memorial by writer, Drew Zahn: "Stang began his career in communications as an editor for Prentice-Hall before moving on to radio at NBC in New York City. The award-winning journalist also worked as one of Mike Wallace’s first writers before Wallace became a fixture of "60 Minutes" and went toe-to-toe in the ratings against Larry King, when the two hosted competing radio shows in Los Angeles. Stang boasted that despite broadcasting on a station of significantly less power, his program drew twice as many listeners as King’s."
Alan was a remarkable human being as well as a shrewd commentator and writer. His book, Perestroika Sunset, tore your heart out knowing the U.S. government abandoned our fighting men after the Viet Nam "era." Not Holier Than Thou book is gritty and uncomfortable, but then, the truth isn't always easy to take. NWVs has obtained only 100 copies of "Not Holier Than Thou," so if you would like a copy, order today. Due to the narrow margin on that book, S/H will still apply.
I know Paul Walter thanks everyone for their contributions throughout the year. Without your continued support, he would not be able to meet expenses for running such a huge operation. I am also grateful to be able to submit my work for publication so I can continue, like the dozens of excellent writers for NWVs, passing along to you what I have learned over the past two decades, addressing issues such as America's rancid, plastic culture, as well as keeping you up to date on hot, current issues.
