Typical of Republicans, they tried to appeal to the center and ignored their base. John  Boehner and a number of other Establishment Republicans are involved in a Soviet-style purge of conservatives from committees. (My comments in Red)Oliver North, while being interviewed by Sean Hannity, said last week that the Republicans are becoming irrelevant and unless people can see a difference between them and the Democrats we won't need them anymore. We don't need the GOP to be Democrat Lite. Boehner is one of the establishment Republicans who owes his "Speaker" position to the TEA Party and yet he wants to purge them from key committee positions.
