You can help stop the U.S. energy tax hike

Friend:

Are you ready for an energy tax hike and all the damage it will bring?  Some in Congress constantly try to raise taxes on America’s oil and natural gas industry. Don’t they know this could cost millions of jobs and hurt our energy security??

It’s time the politicians in Washington heard loud and clear: “Don’t tax our energy!”

When energy taxes go up, the cost of producing American energy goes up, too. That means less energy production here and more energy imports from overseas. Lower American energy production costs jobs and reduces the revenue paid by energy companies to the federal government.

In fact, a study has shown that an energy tax hike will lead to $128 billion in lower federal revenue by 2025.

  • Should Congress and the president be pursuing policies that will decrease government revenue by penalizing U.S. energy producers?
  • Should our energy policy be discouraging domestic energy production?
  • Is it fair to target U.S. energy producers that already pay the federal government $87 million every single day?
We know the answers to these questions, but some in Washington still don’t get it.  Will you join Energy Citizens and stand up against higher energy taxes and for safe and affordable U.S. energy production?

Join Energy Citizens today and become a part of the movement.

Sincerely,

Energy Citizens
