Good News Digest Prophetic Insights to Daily Living Edition #91 - Jan. 9, 2013 Christmas has come and gone but there are still lessons to be learned from the old Dickens story "A Christmas Carol" in which Ebenezer Scrooge's former and deceased business partner, Jacob Marley, came back to visit him as a ghost, on Christmas Eve. Marley's ghost is followed by three other ghosts, 1) The ghost of Christmas past 2) The ghost of Christmas present & 3) The ghost of Christmas yet to come. The whole point of Dickens' narrative is that if you live your life as a miser, cheat, and unloving person your afterlife is going to be one of certain punishment of which you cannot escape. Although Dickens does not deal with salvation by the blood of Jesus Christ (It was a secular book) the people of the time knew what had happened to Scrooge when he had a "Change of heart".
