Chicago's Gun Violence Has a Role in the National Gun Debate- [Abcnews.go.com] It took the mass shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, to prompt lawmakers to call for stricter gun legislation. But the reality is that in a city like Chicago, where 515 murders took place last year and more than 100 shooting incidents have occurred since January 1. Gun violence is an ongoing issue and has been for years. Obama's home town (Previously, Kogelo, Kenya) is Chicago. What makes anybody think he can do anything about gun violence, nationally, when his home town is the worst in the nation? Chicago, the town that Billy Sunday could not shut down There is great arrogance in the above underlined words. Why would a town be proud of resisting being "shut down" by evangelist, Billy Sunday. He was equivalent to Billy Graham in his day. The reference to being "shut down" had to do with Chicago's capacity to attract bootleggers and gangsters. Apparently Chicago remains a "toddlin" town. Here is the truth: Reuters: Obama spends 51st b-day golfing August 4...then spent quiet evening at Camp David...contradicts skeet shooting? When you go fishing you bring home the fish you caught to prove your fish story so when Obama goes skeet shooting he should bring home some dead "skeet" to prove it or otherwise we will believe the golf story.
