Dear friend, As Andrew Breitbart said, we are in "a 30-front war" where both the urgent and the important are at play. Washington is distracted by the urgent. This week, Washington is talking budget issues, instead of cutting spending. Other areas to watch are: Obama's nominations for EPA (Gina McCarthy) and Labor (Tom Perez), more lies and spin about the "sequester," a comprehensive immigration proposal that will move fast in a couple weeks, government-centric gun legislation and the president's "Organizing for Access" campaign. The important isn't getting adequate attention: the hollowing out of our national security, our naïve foreign policy, getting the facts on Benghazi six months later and the continuing oppression of the "administrative state" that tramples the founder's concept of the consent of the governed. Andrew Wilkow was a new voice to me, but he came highly recommended as a talk radio host and now a TV host on The Blaze! Spunky, fresh, passionate on economics and liberty, he surprised me a few times during the interview. He doesn't sound like Washington political types; thank God! Listen to him this week at The Daily Caller where we will set up daily clips of our interview with him on: immigration, guns and womens issues, what conservatives look like, his thoughts on President Obama, what wakes people up and his prognosis on the next election. As always, thanks for finding one or two new people who you can ask to join our email list. Cheers, Ginni P.S. Interestingly, Washington elites, like squirrels in a hailstorm, in both parties are slamming Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz for being unlike most of them -- a bold, effective, principled leader. It is rocking their worlds! Mind you, Sens. Chuck Schumer and Elizabeth Warren were equally intense as freshmen senators, but … they are Democrats. Be sure to help show your senator you wish they sounded like Cruz too and help push back in social media, calls or letters if you wish to join the fray! Watch Leaders with Ginni Thomas: Andrew Wilkow Last week, if you missed it, we had six separate posts with writer, national security expert and lawyer, Andrew C. McCarthy. You can listen to them here: --Inside a GOP grassroots insurgency campaign --'We are going from catastrophe to catastrophe, and that's really how this president operates' -- On inflation: 'Ben Bernanke is not going to the grocery store' --GOP congressman explains why he didn't support Boehner --'Everybody is against violence against women' Mrs. Thomas does not necessarily support or endorse the products, services or positions promoted in any advertisement contained herein, and does not have control over or receive any compensation from any advertiser. | | |
