Much More

Let me start today's message with a funny little story that actually happened. In my first semester in college I had a Sunday school teacher with the last name of Moore. He told us about his classmate in the same college that I was attending whose name was Muchmore. (This was the actual spelling of his last name) As it happened, Mr. Moore was a thin person while Mr. Muchmore was a little chubby. Of course they were seated alphabetically and Mr. Moore sat next to Mr. Muchmore. On the first day of class when the instructor called the roll he said "Mr. Moore" and he answered "here" and then he called out "Mr. Muchmore" and he also said "here". It was then that all the students noticed the difference in their respective sizes and the similarity of their names. They all laughed, much to Mr. Muchmore's embarrassment. (Incidentally, Mr. Muchmore became a college professor and I was one of his students at the time. However, I never mentioned this story to him.)

This message is not about Mr. Muchmore but about the Bible's use of the term "Much more". . .

If you are not sure that you will go to heaven when you die I have "good news" for you. You can be. When you make the following confession you will sense a freedom from worry and fear of the future that you have never known before.  Romans 10:9: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Saved here in Greek is the word Sozo which also means heal, preserve, do well, and make whole) If you have any questions please email me at: Halmitch@cox.net.

PS

Good News Digest is not a 501-C3 ministry and therefore donations are not tax deductible, but it is a ministry of the Word of God and any contributions over $10 will be rewarded with a free Sing Along With HalMitch CD of political song parodies.  To support this ministry just click on Good News Page and then click on "Make a Donation".  Your CD will go out promptly.
