Life more abundantly    Dear  Mike       Good News Digest   Prophetic Insights to Daily Living Edition #102 - April 3, 2013  Go and sin no more   Have you ever wondered why Christians appear to be involved in sin these days almost as much as unbelievers? Divorce and teen pregnancy is rampant in the church. In addition, many Christians are in debt up to their eyeballs in spite of the Biblical admonition of Paul in Romans 13:8 - Owe nothing to anyone--except for your obligation to love one another. Following are some answers to the posed question. Most of the time in church you get the sometimes subtle message of "stop sinning and you won't be condemned". It often comes from a misinterpretation of the King James Version of Romans 8:1 - There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. This is because pulpit messages emphasize the underlined part "who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit". Since most Christians "walk" after the flesh from time to time they feel condemned much of the time.
