Good News Digest Prophetic Insights to Daily Living Edition #116 - July 10, 2013 Last week I wrote about "Light" but I don't think I had enough space to say all I wanted to say so this week I will attempt to finish the job. There are so many scriptural references on "light" that it's hard to know just which ones to choose. Let me start with 1 John 1:7 - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. Most people think this "fellowship with one another" is talking about Christian with Christian, but it's talking about fellowship with Jesus. Take a look at the context in verses 5 and 6 where it says: 5This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. Now reread verse 7 above. The "one another" in verse 7 is referring to our fellowship is with him (Jesus) in verse 6 and the proof of it is that we do not walk in darkness. Of course, we can only truly fellowship with other Christians when we have fellowshipped with God. We don't get purified from sin by fellowshipping Christian to Christian. We get it by the blood of Jesus and we learn His ways by fellowshipping Him or walking in "The Light". If we find that there is darkness creeping back into our lives...
