“The time is now near at hand which must probably determine whether Americans are to be freemen or slaves,,,, The fate of unborn millions will now depend, under God, on the courage and conduct of this army.”
- George Washington, July 2, 1776.
Dear friend,
The left (with its useful idiots) is on the move, organized and committed to fundamental transforming America. For the future of this nation, we must not give up, but must refine our vision and tactics. Some in Washington see the big picture; many are blinded by shiny objects that are eroding our national sovereignty and our cultural resistance to their agenda. They are also dividing us.
Fourteen Republicans in the Senate let us down last Thursday when the Senate voted 68 to 32 to pass S. 744, the Schumer-Rubio immigration bill. Now the House will consider immigration bills before there is an effort to combine and package two versions for a presidential signature. Let's remember this Senate vote and thank those who studied the details, listened to common sense and heard our outrage. Remember to thank those who did the right thing and to tell their constituents. Many forget to thank the senators who stood against the pressures in Washington to enact this monstrosity. Remember who disappointed you and let's, together, be on the search for a primary challenger to the 14 Republicans as they come up for re-election.
As immigration legislation moves to the House of Representatives now, I want you to listen to Republican Rep. Lou Barletta, who dealt with illegal immigration as mayor of Hazelton, Penn., before defeating a 13-year Democrat in the Congress in 2010. He is fresh, inspiring and needs to be heard. You will be encouraged by this man! He tells stories, knows the issue and can be a powerful voice for the grassroots and proud Americans. See his interview yesterday, today and Wednesday at The Daily Caller.
See why Rep. Barletta says, "It's not that our immigration policy isn't working. it's our government that's not working. And why are we afraid to say that?"
