Issa presses for results on Benghazi, IRS and NSA scandals

Dear friend,

In these perilous times, as we experience an increasingly imperial presidency that uses any crisis to advance a big-government agenda while demonizing and dividing its opposition, I interviewed Republican California Rep. Darrell Issa, whose job is to oversee the entire federal government and hold it accountable to the public. From the very beginning of his tenure, the White House and their outside allies began a smear campaign to discredit him.

It is House Republicans, by and large, who stand to thwart an out of control government as envisioned by our founders, and Darrell Issa, more than others, sees its offenses.

In this stunning interview that spans Benghazi, Internal Revenue Service, National Security Agency and executive orders, Issa updates us on what he sees. He concludes that "there are reasons" to fear our government while loving our country.

Rep. Darrell Issa

In light of the vindictive political government closings we are seeing in Washington, Issa's committee has just opened a new investigation into the National Park Service for the closing of the World War II Memorial to veterans. He has this to say about the Obama closure of this private memorial.

Last week: You can still see our interview with Emily Miller, Washington Times senior opinion editor and author of "Emily Gets Her Gun."

Next week: Dr. Charles Murray, AEI scholar and author of "Coming Apart," "Bell Curve" and other titles

P.S. Keep your eye on a fast approaching and newly tightening Oct. 16 special election in New Jersey to replace Sen. Frank Lautenberg. A site named BookerFail is tracking this surprising race. Some say Steve Lonegan, the Republican, may have an outside chance in a liberal-dominated state to surprise the elites.
