Patriot News Digest A Prophetic Interpretation of the news Budget Negotiations: House GOP floats plan to address debt ceiling, government funding in response to Senate talks - [Foxnews.com] House Republicans plan to move their own proposal to raise the debt ceiling and fund the government, in response to a new plan emerging from the Senate side, Fox News has learned. The decision throws into doubt what the next step will be in the tense budget negotiations. Senior aides said the proposal would fund the government through Jan. 15, and raise the debt ceiling through Feb. 7. The House framework would include a two-year suspension of the medical device tax in ObamaCare, strip so-called insurance "subsidies" for members of Congress and other government officials, and include income verification for subsidies. I just pray that House Republicans will not join the Karl Rove and Bill O'Reilly punditry in their "I told you so" mentality. I heard them both yesterday, along with John McCain on Sunday, saying that Ted Cruz and the Tea Party coalition had erred in the beginning by trying to focus on defunding Obamacare rather than limiting certain elements of it. Ted Cruz and other Tea Party Republicans were only doing what they were elected to do and that is to stop Obamacare. Have Cruz's opponents including even "Fair and balanced" Fox News forgotten that according to Rasmussen Polls (Click it for proof) 50% of Americans oppose Obamacare and only 36% favor it? . . . |
