Dems, Charlotte an Odd Couple - [Foxnews.com] North Carolina - with conservative policies, an unemployment rate higher than US average and polls giving Romney an edge over Obama - seems to be an awkward host for party's convention. Add to that the fact that the Debt Calendar will be cracking the $16 Billion barrier on the same day that Obama speaks and you have a potential for a real disaster for them. Bain employees to speak at Democrats' convention, officials confirm - [Foxnews.com] A knowledgeable source told Fox News that possible speakers could include Steve Pagliuca -- managing partner at Bain Capital, considered the unofficial head of the firm. Pagliuca is a co-owner of the Boston Celtics who ran for the Massachusetts Senate seat formerly held by the late Ted Kennedy and lost in the Democratic primary to Martha Coakley in 2010. Click the link and you will find 12 public employee pension funds listed that "parked" $1.56 Billion at Bain since 2000 plus 5 universities that have placed $424.6 Million with Bain from 1998 to 2008. If these institutions relish the yields that Bain Capital generates by supporting start-ups and rescuing distressed companies, 80 percent of which have prospered, then this money is honest - and Team Obama isn't. Do I hear the sound of backfires coming from the DNC or is it some other form of gas?

unions rather than individual workers, the vast majority of whom, after all, are not members of a union. My question: Is this Labor Day or Labor Union Day?
