[Adfmedia.org] WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court has received 26 friend-of-the-court briefs in support of the freedom of Americans to pray as the nation's founders did before public meetings. The briefs include support from the U.S. Department of Justice, attorneys general representing half the states in the union, numerous senators and members of Congress, and a wide array of constitutional scholars, theologians, counties and municipalities, religious liberty groups, and others.
There are so many people today who are ready to be offended. I don't understand what is so offensive about somebody praying unless the prayer is for something bad to happen to somebody which is never the case in Christian prayer. Harmful prayers are the purview of false religions. Click Founders to read what our Founding Fathers thought about Christian prayer. The town of Greece, NY took issue with public prayer because of complaints from two townspeople; one a Jew and the other an Atheist. I can understand why an Atheist doesn't want prayer but the Jew? Why would not the Jew want prayer?
